We invite you to begin your Pennsylvania Wilds adventure with us!
Conveniently situated along I-80 in Central Pennsylvania, Clearfield and DuBois are also easily accessed from Routes 219 and US 322. Before you hit the road, use our Web site as your trip-planning tool. You’ll find everything you need- lodging, campsites, food, shopping and more.
When you visit us, please plan to spend some time in our majestic natural areas – visit the elk in the Quehanna Wild Area, view the Mountain Laurel along the Rockton Highway, or lose yourself in the geologic formations at Bilger’s Rocks. There are five State Parks within 45 minutes of Clearfield. Curwensville Lake Recreation Area, which has no horsepower restrictions, is just a few miles away from Interstate 80. Janesville Dam in the southern part of the county offers quieter waters for a gentle canoe or rowboat ride. Most of our towns and villages have community parks which provide a quiet outdoor setting for picnicking and playtime. There are golf courses for all tastes and skill levels.
If the indoors is more to your liking, there are community theatres in DuBois and Clearfield; museums to explore, and "big city" shopping in a hometown atmosphere. Almost any cuisine can be found in our restaurants, from conveniently priced drive-in's to upscale dining establishments.
Download Discover Clearfield County, our visitor guide, or email us at info@visitclearfieldcounty.org and we’ll send you one. Be sure and include visitor guide in the subject line.
Once you’ve visited, come again, and make your own discoveries- and memories.
