The Rock on the River and Lunch

The Rock on the River, Clearfield County's very first jail, has been transformed into one of the region's most unique attractions. Visitors can explore all four floors plus the iconic lookout tower, each level revealing a different chapter of this historic building's new life. The basement houses a Speakeasy, a billiards room, and even a haunted Airbnb for the adventurous. The first floor welcomes guests with a coffee shop, museum, sandwich café, and original jail cells waiting to be explored. Ascend to the second floor to discover Warden 1876 Restaurant, where your lunch will be served, a cozy sitting room, and additional cell blocks that whisper stories of the past. The third floor features a stunning suite overlooking the jail cells below and provides access to the lookout tower. Cap off your visit by climbing the 42 steps to the tower's peak, where panoramic views of downtown Clearfield await. The building is fully accessible, with an elevator available for all visitors except for the 4th floor and the lookout tower.
